Kathleen (May) Miranda

Kathy was born April 21, 1958 in Spokane, Washington and then moved to Oak Lawn, Illinois the following year. She departed on June 7, 2016 at Oak Lawn Christ Hospital with the loves of her life husband Raymond and son Daniel by her side, despite all efforts to save her. Her relentless strength while battling a rare genetic disease, familial amyloidosis, was a testament to her boundless spirit. She lived a life full of passion and dedication to numerous social causes. She is survived by her husband Raymond and son Daniel, to whom she dedicated her life. Survivors also include her sister Marsha, nephew Will, his wife Megan, along with family in Texas, Arizona, and Arkansas. She will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she touched. At her request there will be no formal memorial. -
