Pops died peacefully after a long battle with amyloidosis. Services will be private for the family.

Hans grew up in Germany and moved to the United States at the age of 19. Hans was a Machinist most of his life. After retiring he spent the next 17 years being a caregiver for his friend Mary Brkic.

He is survived by his sister Inge Stromert of WA, his sons Joseph (Lori) of Sauk Rapids, Hans of Rogers, and daughter, Jennifer Brott of Monticello. Grandchildren Jacob, Brittany, Thomas, Olivia, Rachel, Bailee, Brennon, and Brady, and his good friend Andrew Davis.

He was preceded in death by his parents Josef and Anne, and brothers Walter and Paul.
