David V. Oltman Jr. of Wilmington, NC David V. Oltman, Jr., 70, of Wilmington, NC, passed away Tuesday, April 28 of complications from amyloidosis at Duke Medical Center, in Durham, NC. David or Dave, as many people called him, was born on September 12, 1944 in Sellersville, PA. He graduated from Pennridge High School and later, in 1966, from Penn State University, with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked in numerous facets of the electronics field and later retired from Constellation Technology as President & CEO. When he retired, Dave and his wife enjoyed traveling together and spending time with family. Additionally, being a member of the senior’s golf group at Echo Farms really brought him a lot of pleasure due to his love and appreciation of the sport. Dave is survived by his wife of 49 years, Cheryl Oltman; his children, Lisa Oltman, and Kristin Phelps and her husband Brian Phelps; his very special grandson Eli Oltman; his mother, brother and sister, Jeanette Oltman, Stephen Oltman and his wife Dolly Oltman, and Debra Oltman; his mother-in-law, Kathryn DeTurk; as well as other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, father, and father-in-law.
