Born 09/06/39 in Goose Creek, Texas.
He lived in Daisetta and Sour Lake, Texas, as a child and graduated from Texas A&M University. He served in the United States Army, taught science, and coached football, basketball (girls and boys), and track.
T. C. was diagnosed with primary alpha light chain amyloidosis on September 16, 1998 in Beaumont, Texas and died at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital at the Texas Medical Center in Houston on November 26, 1998.
His death certificate reads "Hypotension" as immediate cause. "Systemic amyloidosis with respiratory, cardiac, and renal failure" is listed as condition leading to immediate cause.
His wife of 35 years (Kay) lives in the family home in Nome, Texas, and his two daughters live with their families in the Houston area.
