Mark Alan Thomlison, 36, Overland Park, passed away February 28, 2009 at home. Upon autopsy the cause of death was revealed to be AL amyloidosis.
A funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 5, 2009 at Westside Family Church, 8500 Woodsonia Dr., Lenexa, Kansas.
Mark was born September 6, 1972 in St. Charles, Missouri. He was a devoted husband of 12 years to Kellie Thomlison. He was a loving father to his two sons Jack, 8 1/2 and Luke, 2. He was a deputy for Johnson County Sheriff Department for 4 years. He was a member of Westside Family Church. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Kellie; sons Jack 8 1/2 and Luke 2; parents, Clyde and Janet Thomlison; sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Dennis Bonser; nephew Josh; and nieces, Chloe, Jadyn and Mackenzie.
Since Mark’s passing his widow Kellie has held fundraisers for awareness and grand round presentations so that others would not meet Mark’s fate. She also helps with support group meetings for the ASG www.amyloidosissupport.com . She works tirelessly to help others who are walking or have walked her walk.
