He passed of Primary Amyloidosis 11/1/2000. He would have been 62 in 2012 and is survived by a wife and two sons and a sister, Nancy Steinhardt.
Unfortunately when he got sick in 1997 there was limited information, and as in many cases, was misdiagnosed for 1 1/2 years. By the time they gave him some treatments, (chemo and prednisone) he was too weak to attempt stem cell therapy.
