Irwin Cohen, 60 years, 1972 Olympian, Judo Athlete, Munich Olympics and five time Gold Medalist at The Maccabiah Games. Beloved husband of Shelly, nee Brusso; loving Father of RJ (Ina), Aaron (girlfriend, Becca) and Alana; proud grandfather of Aiden, Adrian and Jayme; dearest brother of Steve (Lynn) Cohen and Gail Cohen; loving uncle of 15 nieces and nephews; cherished son of the late Al and Annette Cohen.

Irwin was diagnosed with amyloidosis in 2000 and treated with an autologous stem cell transplant at Northwestern. The Cohen family is eternally grateful to Rhonda Penzell who gave her kidney on April 21, 2007 to allow him five more loving years.
