Dr. Roger Alan Maltz, beloved son of the late Dr. and Mrs. J. Herbert Maltz, passed away in his Chicago home at the age of 66 on June 22, 2015. Adoring Husband to Susie, Loving Father to Rachel, Michael, and Tracy (Russell Zemla), Jolly Old Grandfather "Boompa" to Gavin and dear friend to so many. A celebrated blues musician, he played the bass with Joe Kelley's Blues Band, Sam Lay, Chicago Slim Blues Band, and Bumble Bee Bob and The Stingers. He also wrote poetry, programmed computers, and raced cars. Although, his compassion is evidenced by his chosen fields; Physical Rehabilitation and Addiction Medicine. After graduating from Chicago Medical School in 1984, he dedicated his life to helping those in need through Medicine, Music and above all, Laughter.
