Jerry Allen Sunman, 68, passed away Sunday, March 15, 2015, at his home in Homosassa, Florida. Born to Harold and Dolly Sunman in 1946, Jerry spent his childhood in south Florida. The youngest of five siblings, he was brother to Harold Jr., Jack, Bill, and Dorothy. Jerry married the love of his life, Dianne, in 1970. They would have celebrated their forty-fifth wedding anniversary March 28, 2015. Jerry and Dianne raised two sons, Michael and Jeffrey, and welcomed two daughters-in-law, Jennifer and Michele, into their family. He doted on his five grandchildren, Connor, Hayden, Jillian, Rory, and Annabeth. Jerry and Dianne travelled, lived around the world, and counted many friends as family. He was an air traffic controller, a pilot, and a fisherman. A quintessential outdoorsman, he fished, camped, skied, and golfed with good friends and with great enthusiasm. Jerry was an active member of B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge and the American Legion in Carthage, New York, whose halls are quieter without his big laugh. He retired to Florida five years ago and did his part to reduce the stone crab and deer population of the southeast
