Jacob "Jack" Agamao Jr., 62, died Tuesday, April 7, 2015, at VA Palo Alto Health Care System, following a courageous battle with AL Amyloidosis. He was born Dec. 1, 1952 in Salinas, to the late Jacob and Isadora Agamao.

Jack graduated from Salinas High School in 1971 and served in the United States Army from Aug. 30, 1971 to Aug. 29, 1974. On Dec. 28, 1974, he was united in marriage to Sylvia Leal.

He enjoyed family barbeques while playing Oldies music on the stereo. A football fan of the Miami Dolphins, he often bragged about their 1972 undefeated title. He was also a baseball fan of the World Champions San Francisco Giants.

Jack is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sylvia; two daughters, Jennifer (Eddie) Barragan and Monica (Walter) Rozin; one son, Jacob Agamao III; nine grandchildren and two great-granddaughters; one sister, Joann Agamao and six brothers, Dan (Sylvia) Agamao, Jimmy (Carmen) Agamao, Jeff (Gracie) Agamao, Joseph (Clara) Agamao, Joaquin (Cinde) Agamao and Jay (Marisol) Agamao. He is further survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Sam Valdez and sister, Gloria Agamao. -
