Harvey Daniel Braun Senior partner at international accounting and management firm, 'brilliant and loving,' 76 The world feels a little emptier today. A brilliant, loving, generous and beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, nephew and friend, Harvey Daniel Braun of Livingston, N.J., died on Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016, surrounded by loving family. He was 76 years old and courageously battled amyloidosis, a rare heart condition, for 5-1/2 years. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, Feb. 14, at 11 a.m. at Bernheim-Apter-Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel, 68 Old Short Hills Rd., Livingston, N.J. Harvey was the treasured son of the late Jerome and Sylvia Braun of the Bronx, N.Y. He is survived by his much-loved wife of 55 years, Susan Kovner Braun; his devoted daughters and sons-in-law, Debbie Gray, Rachel Braun Scherl, Andy Gray and Zev Scherl; four loving grandchildren, Joshua Gray, Zachary Gray, Jenny Braun Scherl, Samuel Braun Scherl; brother, Philip Braun, and aunt, Florence Braun. Harvey received his bachelor's degree in engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and his M.B.A. from Carnegie Mellon. He spent his entire career at Deloitte, where he retired as a senior partner and member of the management committee. He was an industry leader in retail and consumer products, a respected colleague and mentor to hundreds of professionals. Harvey will be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, generosity, patience, competitive spirit and love for life and family.
